The writer was Karl Moore, a former employee of the World Bank and an INET fellow, who is also a member of the advisory board for the Global Public Policy Institute, which is the best-known outfit of its type, an international public policy think tank, which has staff, programs and offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Brussels and London. INET lists this one-sentence summary of its mission as: "The Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) is a progressive think tank that promotes policies and ideas that will catalyze the creation of a fair, sustainable, and more egalitarian world economy for all." The site also says its founders are "well-known thinkers" and that the institute "connects the dots on trends that are shaping our world today."
