The MK at TWA was a 24-Hour Jet Set Experience that brought more than 20 influencers from around the world inside the newly opened TWA Hotel at JFK Airport—the iconic 1960s-era, Eero Saarinen-designed terminal-turned hotel—to celebrate the brand’s jet set roots and highlight the Fall 2019 Signature logo products.
To kick off the experience, influencers were flown in on a Michael Kors branded helicopter from Manhattan to the hotel. After checking in, they were treated to the 24-Hour Michael Kors Jet Set Experience.
From a workout lead by Dogpound New York instructors in the state-of-the-art TWA Fitness center, where the girls were outfitted in newly launched Michael Kors Access MKGO smartwatches, to the best-of-New York glam experience featuring Frederic Fekkai’s team for hair, JINsoon for nails, the Revlon team for makeup and Dr. Barbara Sturm’s team for mini facial treatments; each tailored activity provided this elite group of girls the best of the best in self-care; striking a fine balance between intense fitness and luxurious glam; vital for any true jet-setter.
Following the morning of self-care, our global girls were treated to a poolside lunch at the TWA rooftop infinity pool, overlooking the active runway, including a special performance with a nod to old-hollywood glamour brought to them by the Aqualilies, the world’s most glamorous water entertainers. The Aqualilies were outfitted in custom MICHAEL Michael Kors Logo Swimsuits.
Cocktail hour boasted an exclusive moment in the newly opened Connie lounge, a fully refurbished TWA propliner first built in 1958, where the influencers were treated to an intimate performance by singer Mafalda. After sipping on their Michael Kors themed cocktails, they continued on to dinner at the Paris Café, the newly opened restaurant by Jean-Georges Vongerichten featuring late-night entertainment by “New York’s most talked about mentalist” Vinny DePonto who aimed to shock an amaze each guest.
In the days following the experience, TWA Hotel guests and visitors will be able to participate in a mini jet set experience of their own through a Michael Kors Signature pop-up inside the TWA lobby. The unique pop-up will feature all things signature including a custom photobooth to take and share custom MK selfies.
Each activity highlighted the multifaceted characteristics of the ultimate jet setter: the girl on the go who has become a seasoned traveler.
