This past week I had the opportunity to attend an event held at the DVF store in the meat packing location in NYC. Being that it was Womens International Day, Diane wanted to host a two day event with guest panelists and fun activites to showcase women and how they are #INCHARGE. As a personal stylist I have always loved DVF, her clothing is so easy to wear and it doesnt matter what size a woman is , they look great on everyone!!! I was lucky to be invited to this event and attended
it on Friday where I got to listen to three different panelists of women and how they are making an impact in the world. The first panel was all about how small business have made a big impact. Think Rent the Runway. Yes , it started out small and in ten years its a Billion Dollar company. Who Knew?????
Then the second panel was super impressive, they were 4 young women from the ages of 16 to 20. These girls are our future leaders . I was so impressed with Sarah Chadwick and Delaney Tarr. Both these girls were actual survivors of the Parkland HIgh School Massacre. These girls blew me away . They are spearheading marches in Washington and around the country. They are not allowing Congress to ignore what is happening in our childrens schools. As they said its, not a Democratic thing or Republican its Bipartisan. Loved hearing these young women speak and how they might solve everything .
Then the third panel of women was about how women are organizing and collaborating to reach sustainable development goals, breaking down silos and taking risks for high impact. The Crown Princess of Norwary moderated this conversation.
Overall, it was very inspiring to take part of this event. As a woman I know if it werent for me nothing would get done. Love my husband, but we all know WOMEN GET SHIT DONE!!!!!!
So with that said, I am so honored to be a woman and be #INCHARGE !!!!!
After I took in the panel conversations I had fun taking pictures and ofcourse shopping. Everything was 20% off and went towards the #INCHARGE MOVEMENT.
