Horsing Around
This past weekend I had the pleasure to attend the Belmont Stakes out in Long Island, NY and what a great time did I have. I had never been living in the NY metro area. I was utterly impressed with the track and facilities. The weather was gorgeous as well so that added to my delight. I was suppose to attend the Kentucky Oakes this past May, but since the weather was going to be cold and rainy I took a raincheck. (lol) Now for those of you who don't know this, the Kentucky Oakes takes place the day before the Derby at the same racetrack, Churchill Downs. The Oakes, is where spectators are to wear anything with the color pink in honor of Breast Cancer survivors and those who have passed due to this illness. Since I was planning on attending, I already had my outfit planned out. So , when the opportunity arose to attend the Belmont I knew exactly what I was going to wear. I bought this floral maxi dress over at New York and Company. I have to tell you , I love this store. They really have beautiful outfits and I have to tell you well made and the price is right!! This dress is from the Eva Mendes collection which I love and her, Latina in the house!!
They have really cute affordable outfits and the quality is very well made. What I love about the store is that their is something for everyone. This is definitely my new store to shop at!!! I purchased my fascinator thru AMAZON, I paid about 29.00 for this. My shoes were Manolo Blahnik which I had from two seasons ago. I received so many compliments and I looked like a million bucks even though I know where near spent that much. Style is not about how much you spend but how well you look and feel. xoxo
