Shore Thing
I cant believe our last days of summer fun are almost to an end. Living in New Jersey going to the Jersey shore is a must. Growing up in Miami,Florida I couldn't quite understand what all the hype was all about ,but now that I have lived here for so long I totally get it. I guess you can call me a Jersey Girl at heart. This past weekend I went to the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, known as Casino Pier. You probably recognize it from the tv show " Jersey Shore" you remember the Situation and Snooky. Well for those of you who really never knew about the Jersey Shore that made our beach so famous or not depending to who you speak to . I have to say its a matter of opinion but to my Hampton lovers this place is way cooler!!
So this past weekend I had the pleasure to take my youngest son to play a round of mini golf at the boardwalk. The weather was a little nippy so I threw on a VInce sweater a pair of white jeans by Frame . I added a pair of valentino dupe inspired sandals, my Chole bag and there you go, instant chic for an evening out with my little man. Being a mom on the go, doesn't mean you can't look fashionable yet functional. I typically tend to recycle what I own because lets face it , who can afford to wear something new every time we go out. I like to re-work pieces of clothing with other pieces. The sweater is great all year round , just as a pair of white jeans. I realize we think summer but with black boots and a turtle neck now you can talk fall or winter . Especially if the items are a little pricey such as what I had on. Below I have where you can find similar if not the same items of clothing.
What's up Doc?
Since Hurricans Sandy, this boardwalk has become better than ever. So much fun and such a great place for the child within.
This is my son Tavio!! BTW, he beat me at the end of our round of mini-golf!!!
A must have on the boardwalk. Kohr's frozen ice cream. This is a creamsicle cone with vanilla , so delicious. We have so many other yummy treats to eat such as fried oreo's , elephant ears (fried dough with powered sugar, waffle's with ice cream to cheese steaks and Fresh Lemonade. I can go on and ON!! Not enough time to eat all these not so healthy treats in one shot. LOL!
